Lake District marketing consultant

My story began with a cat and a view.

I’ve had the pleasure of supporting a broad range of clients, from Lakeland, The Rum Story, and Rose Castle, to Workington Town Council, Sally’s Cottages, and the University of Cumbria.

But how on earth did a conflict resolution professional end up working with some of Cumbria’s leading brands?

In 2019, peering down at Bassenthwaite from the top of Sale Fell, I realised that my new life in Cumbria needed a new direction.

Thankfully, Cumbria’s burgeoning business community heard my call, and answered.

Sarah McNeill

Hailing from Northern Ireland (Norn Iron to locals), I moved to Cumbria in 2016 with 12 years of community relations experience at my disposal.

Pivoting from project management to copywriting was easier than you’d imagine. If I could convince unwilling residents to participate in cross-community programmes, I could persuade people to choose one business over another.

What you need to know about me.

I’m a passionate copywriter and digital marketing specialist with extensive experience creating, delivering and managing high quality customer-focused and brand-consistent marketing campaigns that drive engagement and achieve growth against set targets.

Savvy Strategist

Nothing makes me happier than developing and delivering practical digital marketing strategies for growing businesses.

I combine data-driven strategy with compelling copywriting to create digital marketing campaigns that deliver tangible results. I research your audience, develop a clear value proposition, and craft powerful, SEO-friendly copy for your website, emails, and social media.

Content Creator

As a seasoned creator, I produce attention-grabbing content that raises a chuckle, invites contemplation, and makes a sale. Always on-brand, my content boosts client presence with consistent and imaginative messaging that converts audience engagement to solid sales.

Consummate Communicator

Throughout my 12+ years' marketing projects in N Ireland, I successfully delivered a number of schemes under extremely challenging circumstances. I skilfully marketed each project to hard-to-engage groups by cultivating relationships with key community activists, local press, and elected members, as well as implementing accessible digital marketing campaigns. This tenacity would serve me well as a marketer.

So, never one to shy away from a challenge, I engaged my problem-solving skills and harnessed my creativity to build a solid client base.

As a child I was told, in no uncertain terms, that I had an ‘overactive imagination’, so you can bet I use that ‘disadvantage’ to my advantage now.

And the cat? He’s an excellent personal assistant.

Sarah has worked on a number of projects with me over the years, and is a great writer to have associated with my business.

I’m really careful who I choose to recommend to my own clients as I feel this can reflect strongly back to me - take it as a very good thing that Sarah is someone I would highly recommend to others needing her services.
